When you are in your “tweens,” it is a very important time to start learning how to take care of your skin and develop great habits that will benefit you as you get older.  It doesn’t have to take long and it’s very easy! First, you should wash your face night and day with a gentle face wash – you don’t want harsh ingredients in your beautiful young skin.  Second, and this is probably the most important thing: MOISTURIZE daily!  Also, we all love the sun, but make sure that your moisturizer has an SPF (sun protection factor) because your skin will thank you when you’re older I promise!  And to keep those pores squeaky clean, make sure you exfoliate once a week.

For age appropriate makeup, you want to look fresh and youthful, no need to rush that older look.  One simple, easy way to accentuate your face is to use a tinted moisturizer.  This will even out your skin and give you that nice, baby-soft looking skin.

If you need a little more coverage, try using a BB (beauty balm) cream. This product is an all-in-one product that gives you good coverage and even skin. To give your face some color, or “pop,” you can use cream blush for a dewy look or regular powder blush if you have oily skin.

For your eyes, pick a mascara that will accentuate your lashes and open up your eyes.  But don’t do more than two coats because that’s when lashes start sticking together and start to look clumpy.  Then, depending on your taste, use a little gloss, lip balm or a little lipstick.  All these products can be found at all types of different budgets, and all work really well!

Remember that you just need to accentuate that beautiful young skin and always take care of it!
